Product description

This polyester webbing is lighter in weight than regular polyester, but close in strength. It has a low absorption rate, non-porous fibers, and maintains high durability. Great for outdoor applications, this webbing is stronger than polypropylene webbing, but can be used in most of the same applications. Chosen over other webbing materials for safety and resilience, it combines many of the benefits of both polypropylene and nylon without some of the negatives. It is best to use 2 Inch hardware with this polyester webbing. D-rings, buckle, triglides etc. are sized by the webbing or straps they are meant to be used with. Although listed as 2 Inch Wide, our webbing is woven to international standards between 47mm and 49mm wide. Some rolls may contain factory splices. If you need a continuous roll let us know. Can be used in applications such as: harnesses, scuba diving, weight belts, boat rigging, tent straps, tie down straps, purse strap, belts, parachuting, and much more!

The BSCB was founded 1965 in order to promote the advancement of research in all branches of cell biology and to encourage the interchange of information. The Society organises a large annual conference each Spring and supports a number of other meetings across the UK relevant to cell biology. It helps promote the career development of young cell biologists and provides both travel funds for young researchers and summer research bursaries to undergraduates to work in BSCB member’s labs. The Society awards the Hooke Medal each year to a UK-based cell biologist who has made outstanding contributions to their field and since 2015 a medal to recognise outstanding female early career cell biologists. As of 2021, The Society now recognises up-and-coming young cell biologists with our new PhD and postdoc medals.

The BSCB runs annual competitions for cell biology imagery and science writing and also provides a range of highly popular informational resources for school pupils that are used across the globe. The BSCB plays an increasing role in raising awareness of science policy and funding issues in the UK.

The Society is supported by membership subscriptions and by a generous grant from The Company of Biologists, the publishers of the Journal of Cell Science, DevelopmentJournal of Experimental Biology and Disease Models and Mechanisms.
